  1. So, I have Rapunzel and I'm not 100% sure what stereotype I'm going for but i know that there is the 20 yard of hair, the singing, the loving someone you just met, a sorceress, and magic .

  2. Just a question. Can we stereotype on cartoons instead?

  3. So I am gonna use the french version of sleeping beauty. I know I can talk about how she "needs" the prince to save her and how his mother is evil. But I am trying to find a stereotype about the prince too... Can I say that he is like every other prince? (Young, rich, perfect)

  4. @ Kathrine I'd say yes
@Anyone reading this, umm when we have the stereotypes do we provide facts to back it up or do we explain the stereotype?

  7. Those are good Karttieris. I just finished re-writing sleeping beauty and I am about to work on an actual essay about it. I don't know why I am writing both but I am.

  8. This is what i have written ...

Cinderella gets lucky with a step mother and two step sisters
She desperately sings while scrubbing floors
Little girls looking out windows waiting to see if Prince Charming is ever going to arrive
Cinderella’s step mother who hates her and makes her live her life in complete misery
I wonder did my step father ever dislike me

Who would ever think mice can ever help you clean,
Or a fairy god mother can change you from feeling shame to beauty,
Or unexpectedly go to a ball and meet the prince you have always dreamt of
Cinderella’s wishes have come true after all
Leaving her step sisters to live blind as long as the live
While Cinderella has been saved from her life in misery

What ever happen to being an independent woman?
Years ago when I was a little I always dreamt about having a fairy god mother
I have always wondered how it feels to wish for something and have it come true
All the pain a woman will put themselves through is insane, but it is all for nothing
In the end, there is never a prince charming nor living a happily ever after

I am my own misery, I am my savior
Never will I believe a prince will come and save me from all my misery
While girls act like Cinderella, I will act like a bird that depends on its wings
My fairy god parents are my parent, my mistakes, and my choices
Being independent is something I believe in
There is nothing wrong with not wanting to wait for a to obey

Be your own savior, be your own misery.
